ADULT Assessments

Structured assessments for ADHD, autism, combined presentations, and cognitive functioning. Evidence-based tools, a transparent process, and a written report at the end.

Book Phase 1 →

If your primary goal is exploring medication, the most direct pathway is a referral from your GP to a psychiatrist — Ella does not prescribe medication. Not all psychiatrists require a psychological assessment before an appointment, though some may refer you to a psychologist as part of their process.

Where everything begins

PHASE 1 Intake & Formulation

Phase 1 is required for all adult assessments. It’s an investigative process — Ella examines all possible explanations for your difficulties before recommending a specific pathway.

Phase 1 does not commit you to a full diagnostic assessment. It’s the process of figuring out what the right pathway actually is.

At the end of Phase 1, you may receive

A recommendation to proceed to formal assessment (Part 2)
A clinical formulation letter for your GP, psychiatrist, or treating professional
A treatment plan to address identified difficulties
A referral to another appropriate professional

Phase 1 Fees

Initial intake session (90 min)$405
Additional session/s as required (60 min each)$270 per session
Document review$150
Questionnaire administration and review$60
Clinical formulation letter (if not proceeding to Part 2)$250

Phase 1 fees are itemised and billed as each item is completed. You will always be informed before any additional appointments are booked or charged.

TREATMENT Plan

Some people complete Phase 1 and decide a formal diagnostic report isn’t what they need. That’s a valid outcome.

If there’s enough clinical clarity — or if you simply want to understand what’s been identified and build a practical plan around it — Ella can work with you to develop a written treatment plan you can share with your GP, treating psychologist, or other allied health professionals.

This isn’t a diagnosis. It’s a document that maps out your identified difficulties and practical strategies.

Treatment Plan Fees

Additional sessions as required (60 min) $270 per session
Written treatment plan document $400

Ella will advise at the end of Phase 1 how many additional sessions are needed. Always follows Phase 1 — not available as a standalone service.
